Jayme is our Head Coach and a seasoned professional in strength and conditioning, athletic development, and sports performance. She is currently obtaining her MS in Applied Exercise Science, with a dual concentration in Sports Nutrition and Strength and Conditioning, further deepening her expertise in optimizing performance and recovery.
Over the course of her career, Jayme has worked across every major sector of the fitness industry, including corporate gyms, independently owned facilities, franchise models, and school-based programs where she developed movement and play curriculums. She has coached youth and teen athletes in basketball and volleyball, with a strong emphasis on long-term athletic development and return-to-play strategies following injury.
She holds multiple advanced certifications including USA Weightlifting Level 2 (USAW 2), Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS), StrongFirst Elite, and Performance Enhancement Specialist (PES). Her technical coaching expertise spans from foundational movement to elite-level strength, speed, and power development, with a strong track record in guiding athletes through successful return-to-play programs.
At Power Up Training, Jayme leads the athlete and adult performance programs, combining her extensive experience, technical coaching, and a data-driven approach to deliver world-class training that meets every athlete where they are — and helps them level up beyond where they thought possible.

Coach Nina brings a wealth of experience and passion for sports to her coaching role, drawing from her diverse athletic background. Growing up, she was an avid participant in volleyball, softball, and basketball, where she developed a deep understanding of team dynamics, discipline, and strategy. This early love for sports shaped her approach to coaching, focusing on both individual development and a cohesive team environment.
Coach Nina also competed in four powerlifting competitions emphasizing physical conditioning, mental toughness, and a competitive spirit.
For the past four years, Coach Nina has served as the Head Varsity Volleyball Coach, leading her team with dedication, and strategy. Under her leadership, the team has seen growth in both performance and teamwork. Her coaching philosophy centers on hard work, discipline, and creating a positive, supportive environment where athletes can thrive.

Coach Momo has been in the sport industry since she was a kid practicing gymnastics & basketball. She followed her passion to learn & grow in this industry by achieving her Sports Science degree. With 8 years of Personal Training experience, she leads with enthusiasm and authenticity to help others see the love in health & fitness.
Momo has worked with all ages, abilities & sports-specific clients. Her goal is to target everyone’s potential and help them flourish to achieve success and satisfaction with the right nutrition & correct training; technique / postural work.

Coach Gianna is a Bay Area native who is passionate about providing excellent strength and conditioning coaching through evidence based practice and mutual respect. After graduating from Regis University with her Bachelor's degree in Health and Exercise Science in 2022, Gianna began working with high school and college aged athletes doing performance training in the private sector. Having worked with a vast variety of athletes at different training ages and skill levels, Gianna knows how to keep training fun and engaging while getting results. She powerlifts competitively and likes to play volleyball, swim, and explore the outdoors with her dog, Roc. G.
Coach Gianna is very excited to be joining the Power Up community and looks forward to making connections here in San Mateo.

Coach Mike is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Coach and Certified Athletic Trainer dedicated to helping athletes unlock their full potential. With a holistic approach that emphasizes not only physical development but also mental and emotional growth, Michael cultivates a culture of excellence, resilience and positivity.
Michael holds a Master’s degree in Athletic Training and a Bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science from Saint Louis University. He brings extensive experience working with organizations such as EXOS, U.S. Ski and Snowboard, and ALTIS. Driven by a passion to empower others, his mission is to help athletes move better, feel better, and perform their best — on and off the field.

Teddy is the owner of Power Up Training and a seasoned veteran in the fitness industry, bringing over a decade of hands-on experience to the Peninsula community, including kettlebell expertise. Throughout his career, Teddy has coached a diverse range of clients, led teams of coaches, and provided consulting services to fellow gym owners, earning a reputation for his expertise and leadership. Driven by a passion to inspire and empower the next generation, Teddy is dedicated to delivering the highest quality training for youth and adults alike. When he’s not coaching or spending time with his wife and two daughters, you’ll likely find Teddy honing his skills in Muay Thai.
